Hospices and their communities are coming together for the Ultimate Human Race: the Comrades Marathon.
We’re flying the flag high for the Comrades Marathon this year with South Coast Hospice. Our Athlone patients and volunteers have created some beautiful butterfly flags which will be displayed across the Comrades Marathon route.
The butterfly is used as a symbol by hospices world-wide as they seen to represent resurrection, endurance, change, hope and life.
South Coast Hospice will hang the flags along the Comrades Marathon route. Our Hospices and their communities see this as an opportunity to send their blessings not only to the 20 thousand people running on the day, but out into the world with the intention to carry our wishes for compassion, peace and healing around the earth.
The Comrades Marathon takes place on the 10th June 2018. See more details here: http://www.comrades.com/
